Week 3 x BALT 4362- Chat bot's

 Before we talk about chatbots we must first understand what they are, what their overall purpose is, and how they can be beneficial. Chat bots according to ChatGPT are described as computer programs created to have conversations with people. Things like chat GPT and virtual assistant are created so you can ask it specific questions and within seconds it creates an answer. They allow you to get access to information faster overall. 


Chatbots are game-changers in the world of AI because they help you save time when trying to search for specific things up as well as improve overall communication. One of the biggest benefits they have is that they are available for use at all times so the consumer to ask any questions when they have them. The downside to this a lot of the time is that you are often talking to Artificial intelligence instead of actual customer support representatives. Chat bots overall have their pros and cons it is just a matter of what you're looking to get from them.

 In the article posted this week, we encountered a Swedish company called Klarna which has been highly active in integrating AI to perform some of their regular business activities. According to them, they have saved around 10 million dollars by doing this. Some of the examples they presented in the article was addressing marketing needs. lessening the time their lawyers take to create contracts. The CEO has gone as far as making an AI version that announces all of their quarterly results. In large part, the CEO feels that a lot of the work already being done by their employees can easily be done by AI. By adopting AI into the workplace the CEO feels that it will overall help their employees to have a more fulfilling career by creating new opportunities as well as freeing them up from tasks that they are doing over and over again constantly.

Week 1 Intro

 Hi everyone my name is Ivan Zuniga and I am an operations management and marketing major. I am in my senior year and have also previously played on the men's soccer team here at Benedictine. This is the first course I have taken in regards to AI but I am excited to learn more about it.   We are always hearing about all of the negative things AI can entail but if used appropriately it has large benefits to so many things. Since it came out I have been mesmerized by the capability from it in regards to completing so many things like creating a budget, certain meal plans, and finding deals for certain products. The fact of the matter is AI is our future so the more you know how to use it it is going to be to your advantage by having that skill. I believe that tools like ChatGPT will slowly start to become more incorporated into more things what those things might be we just have to wait and see,

Week 6 X Balt 4362 "What makes a good bot"

 A good bot would often be described as helping the user meet his goal in a reliable and accurate way. With accuracy and reliability, we must ensure that the bot is providing correct information as well as information that is up with current events. Another big thing that helps bots make them successful is creating them in a way that allows them to create engaging conversations with the user. This allows the bot to have more of a human-like feeling. One of the biggest things that help bots be successful is the adaptability to learn as time goes on.  As time goes on and as improvements are made you ultimately begin to see the progress of the bot from the first time it was first introduced.
